Patience is a virtue with profound significance. In a world that often values immediacy, practicing patience becomes a foundational piece of our discipleship. Patience allows us to endure trials, courageously face uncertainties, and trust in God's plan and timing.
The scriptures teach, "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing" (James 1:4). Our life may present various challenges, but patience enables us to endure momentary hardships while recognizing the eternal purposes behind them.
Elder Neal A. Maxwell reminds us that patience is a form of "faith in action" in our lives. Therefore, patience isn't being passive, but courageously pressing forward in faith for a brighter future. As we patiently press forward, may we find the strength for greater trust in the Lord's plan for our lives.
