Spiritual healing is a central promise of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Savior declared, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Turning to the Savior in times of trial brings a peace that surpasses understanding and a healing balm for our souls.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland taught, "Hope is never lost. However dim our days may seem, they have been a lot darker for the Savior of the world." We can find hope and healing in Christ because of His great atoning sacrifice in behalf of us. He allows our broken hearts to be mended, and restores our emotional well-being.
As a final note, service and connection with others are powerful agents of healing. By actively engaging in the service of others, we participate in the healing process, both for ourselves and those we serve.
